The rehabilitation, construction, and/or equipping of local health clinics and hospitals is an incredibly impactful action and requires the engagement of the right partners. The initial socio-economic survey will bring to light where the most critical lack of healthcare lies in the impacted communities and where health centers would have the most impact/reach. This information will be proposed to the local government’s health sector, and a construction plan will be devised together depending on the respective budgets. The most critical factor in contributing to health centers is that there should be healthcare professionals and materials in place to operate them. It is preferable that clinics in remote areas always include a residence for doctors/nurses to ensure they stay in loco.
